Rusty Gray (Actor, Producer/Partner in Your Half Pictures)

Rusty Gray has spent his entire adult life within the entertainment industry, rising through the ranks of Hollywood, moving deftly from behind the camera to in front of it. As one of the producers/partners in Your Half Pictures, Gray has played a hands-on role on several of the company’s productions, including co-starring in and producing the independent feature, 30 Miles.

Working as a professional actor for almost two decades, Gray has played roles as diverse as the murdering, jealous boyfriend in the television movie-of-the-week “Crimes of Passion,” to a body-building woman in the hit sit-com “Step by Step.” Other acting credits include guest-starring roles on “ER,” “Bodies of Evidence,” “Hunter,” and a recurring role on the television pilot “The Doyles.” In his first instance as a hyphenate, Gray acted alongside Lawrence-Hilton Jacobs (“Welcome Back Kotter,” “The Jacksons: An American Dream”) in addition to serving as one of its producers, garnering acclaim from the L.A. Times for his performance.

As a producer, Gray has also executive-produced the short film Descent from critically acclaimed filmmaker Jay Holben and is now executive-producing Holben’s feature debut, the documentary CamGirls. Gray also produced the short film The Pick-Up.

In the works, is the feature-film Eddie Would Go, a biography of the late, famed Hawaiian big-wave surfer Eddie Aikau. Based on the book by Stuart Holmes Coleman, Eddie Would Go represents years of work by Gray and his producing partners as the largest undertaking yet of Your Half Pictures.

Gray also has extensive experience in the production design and art department, spending several years working behind the scenes in both film and television. Some of Gray’s art department credits include the shows “Party of Five,” “The Wonder Years,” “Roseanne,” and feature films including Terry Zwigoff’s cult-classic Bad Santa, Roland Emmerich’s hit remake of Godzilla and George Clooney’s directorial debut, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind.

Gray is currently producing the independent film Steel City from writer-director Brian Jun.
